Suggest Treatment For Severe Endemetreosis

I have severe endemetreosis. I keep having surgery every 2 years. although after each surgery it comes back bigger, faster and stronger within months. After having my son, it was back with a vengeance. We lost one pregnant due to it and were fortunate enough to get pregnant with our son the month after my second surgery. This surgery is my last. I can't handle it anymore and getting a hysterectomy. We are desperately trying to have one more blessing added to our family as my time is running out. I am 32 years old. I have no sex drive, i have no ambition or energy for anything. We keep trying to figure out my ovulation as i have always had regular periods but this last surgery, something must have happened. It was on April 4th and i don't see my ob/gyn for follow up until mid July. I had finished my april 4th, the day of surgery and then i got my period again on April 22, then again on May 15th, and again on XXXXXXX 6th. Periods last from 5-7-10 days long so that screws up my calculations for ovulation. According to one app, i'm ovulating when i'm still on period. What do i do?? I'm so desperate.
Please, exercise some more patience!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these very troubling experiences you have gone through because of endometrosis. It must have been difficult for you both with the symptoms and the difficulties getting pregnant.
Though I understand the pressing need to get pregnant now, your menstrual cycle is offering very little regularity that can help with calculating the possible ovulation period. I will recommend that you observe your menses again a little longer to understand exactly what is going on so that we can gather more information and act on.
I know you may be thinking that the surgery and endometrosis are responsible for you been unable to get pregnant that soon. I will also like to let you know that couples are allowed to try for up to 1year without any medical intervention before declaring difficulties conceiving that warrants medical attention. This is to say that getting pregnant is in a way a game of chance and no clearly stated rules can identify who would get pregnant and who would not at any given time.
32years is no any young age but, you still have at least 10years before you that you can still be pregnant. Take off the extra pressure you are putting on yourself and the need for immediate results. This added to your symptoms makes it an even more difficult task to overcome.
For now, continue to keep a good documentation of your cycles. this will help in future for calculations and predicting the way your cycle behaves. 2months after surgery is too soon to expect that all is back to normal except in very rare cases. These records would also be very helpful when you meet your OBGYN in July.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and the best of luck as you struggle with this conception issue. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
