Brief Answer:
a viral infection probably

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

although the information is not enough to make any diagnosis, having visited her doctor twice without being prescribed any treatment, means that she's probably having a viral infection. At this time of year, influenza sounds very likely in a patient with sore throat and high fever. Other cause may include tonsilitis (but many doctors would prescribe antibiotics for it) and other upper respiratory tract infections. There are other (many) possibilities of course but they are much less likely.

Influenza and similar infections usually get better after day 3 and usually resolve before the first week is over. At least the fever does... Fatigue and cough may persist for a while.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
If you'd like to provide more details about her condition and symptoms, I'll be glad to add more comments.

Kind Regards!
