Suggest Treatment For Severe Fatigue
fatigue can occur in some cases of heart disease
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The fatigue can be related to heart if there is an element of heart failure present. Heart failure is diagnosed when the heart is not able to meet the demands of the body.
It cannot do the work it needs to do so the organs do not get the blood and oxygen needed leading to fatigue and a lot of other symptoms.
IN addition to fatigue, she would have shortness of breath, chest discomfort, swelling of the legs and other symptoms of heart failure.
The presence of a stent alone would not be associated with fatigue, only if the heart is not working as it should.
If she had a recent echo, this would have looked at the function of the heart and how it is working.
She may need to see her doctor to look for other causes, if the heart is not likely eg anemia (low blood count), thyroid disease, infection, other chronic disease such as liver or kidney disease, side effect of medication
Blood tests would be needed.
I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
She also has a rapid heart beat with a low BP. They did an IVUS procedure on her 5 years ago and found that her vessels were smaller than normal....reason for the fast heart beat.,....????
also she smokes 2 pack a day
heart disease is at the top of the list
Detailed Answer:
HI
Serious history of cerebrovascular (brain, blood vessels) disease there.
She has a lot of risk which is increased with the smoking
This definitely puts heart disease at the very top of the list unfortunately
She should be assessed. An echo would be the best way to see how the heart is working- it looks at the function of the wall, how much blood is let out with each contraction, how much remains etc
