Suggest Treatment For Severe Focal Dystonia

Question : Hi, I have been diagnosed with severe focal dystonia. I am on severe pain 24/7. My primary is not sure what to give me. Any help would be appreciated.

I can understand your discomfort on account of pain.

For focal dystonia, botox injections are the best treatments.

Prior to that, trihexiphenidyl tablets may be given for partial relief.

I've had Botox injections with no relief. A year ago I had trigeminal nauralgia and had gamma knife done. XXXXXXX 1 my right side of my face is numb and still is today. It feels like I've been given Novocain. Would this be any relation to my dystonia ?

It is unfortunate that you did not respond to botox injections.

Numbness of the face is a complication of gamma knife procedure and is not related to dystonia.
