Suggest Treatment For Severe Foot Pain

Some practical advice and a medicine that will help
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
It is very important for you to understand what is causing the pain and avoid that factor. Your shoes? Staying all day standing? Is it a blocked vein?
The fact that it is red and swollen tells me that it is an inflammation of the tissues which may be any tissue there.
If it is localized near a joint then it may be osteoarthritis.
You need to make sure your shoes are not tight.
Also, in the top of the foot are common the stress fractures, so I would recommend to consider doing an x-ray and rule out a possible fracture.
Continues using the ice, but put a cloth (towel) between the skin and the ice because the ice may damage the skin if used for a long time.
Keep your feet elevated as much as you can.
Wear slippers for 2-3 weeks so the foot will not be tight.
Use Iburprofen 400mg 3 times/day for 3 weeks after food, and also use an analgesic cream localy and massage the foot. These will help lower the inflammation and help it heal faster.
As I said, if the factor that is causing the inflammation its still there, it will not heal. So avoiding it its most important.
If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor.
Hope this is helpful.
