Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist).
I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
You seem to have androgenetic alopecia. Androgenetic alopecia is the most common cause of thinning and hair fall in males.
It is gradual in onset and in addition to hair loss and thinning from the crown and vertex of scalp it may also be associated with receding anterior hair line, particularly the temporal hair line which manifests as a broad forehead. There may be history of similar hair loss in other male family members.
Treatment is available. It is US FDA approved and its goal is to arrest or slow down further progression. Treatment consists of topical Minoxidil solution and finasteride tablet
1ml of Minoxidil 5% solution is to be applied twice daily on clean and dry scalp with the help of a dropper.
In addition finasteride 1mg tablet also is standard treatment for this type of alopecia.
You must also use an antidandruff shampo regularly, preferably daily e.g Scalp shampoo or Selsun shampoo.
