Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss
Androgenetic alopecia
Detailed Answer:
hello. thank you for writing to us.
I am Dr. Kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Hair loss and thinning mainly from the front and center part of scalp is characteristic of androgenetic alopecia in both males as well as females. It manifests as receding anterior hair line in males and as wide part width in females. Treatment is almost similar in both the sexes.
I suggest you to use minoxidil 5% solution,1ml, twice daily on scalp.
In addition I also suggest you to take a tablet of finasteride 5mg(finast 5mg tab) once daily. Finasteride should not be used if you are pregnant or can get pregnant while on treatment.
Both minoxidil and finasteride are prescription medications and should be used under supervision of a dermatologist.

will this make my hair oily?
and till how many days i need to take this medicine
Remedy for androgenetic alopecia
Detailed Answer:
hi
One ml of Minoxidil 5% solution (Mintop forte) is to be used, twice daily, with the help of a dropper provided with it. Use it on scalp skin. Not on hair. Using minoxidil directly on hair may dry the hair. Avoid oiling hair and scalp as oiling would interfere with therapy. Scalp should be dry and clean of all oil prior to using minoxidil solution.
If you do not wush to take tab. finasteride then you may also consider applying topical finasteride which is available in combination with minoxidil e.g More - F solution 5% or Hair 4U - F solution.
Treatment is long term as it takes time to show results. Noticeable improvement takes at least 6 months to 2 years.

how often should i wash my hair?
can i use coconut oil before washing my hair?
Regarding hair fall and use of minoxidil
Detailed Answer:
hi.
there are no studies of use and safety of topical minoxidil and finasteride combination in pregnancy. However, oral finasteride is definitely contraindicated in pregnancy. Plain minoxidil 5% solution though not approved in pregnancy can still be used because of years of safety profile. Nothing untoward has been reported till now. As a rule of thumb, topical applications during pregnancy are safer as compared to oral intake of medications. Moreover, hair shedding is generally reduced in pregnancy. So hair that were normally going to be shed stay put in pregnancy.
You may wash your hair daily if you can else thrice a week would be OK.
yes you can definitely use coconut oil before shampoo but not before minoxidil application. After shampoo use minoxidil solution on dry scalp. Not on wet scalp.
