Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache Post An Intercourse

Question: My girlfriend has had 3 severe headaches she describes as shooting pain in the last two days. She has had migraines and says this is completely different.
Two happened during orgasm and one happened during a coughing fit. It takes about thirty minutes to subside. 40 year old, not over weight and in good health. No other headaches recently.

Your girlfriend should be evaluated by a Neurologist and by imaging studies such brain CT scan about probably subarachnoidal hemorrhage.

It may be related to brain aneurysms, but in rare cases may be related to perimesencephalic rupture of veins.
