Suggest Treatment For Severe Infection In One Ear With Pus Discharge
Question: I have a terrible dar infection in one ear with a little pus. Dr prescribed amoxicillin. how long does it take to make my ear feel better? thanks

thanks. My ear isn't draining, but there was some pus. The amoxicillin will take care if that too?

The amoxicillin should help to alleviate the production of pus but if the symptoms persist for more than two or three days I would discuss it with your doctor again and he might consider giving you a topical medication to put inside your ear as well.

fatigue can definitely be associated with the infection. I would anticipate that this should improve gradually with time. check in with your primary doctor if you do not experience gradual improvement over the next week or so.
