Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching And Swelling In The Scotum

default
Posted on Tue, 9 May 2017
Question: Sir, I am dealing with a weeping (sweating), itching, swelling of my scrotum and penis. I have seen a doctor to address the symptoms. The swelling in my penis is severe and the weeping from my scrotum and penis is serious. It also itches. I should also mention that I had hydrocele surgery 3 weeks ago and did some yard work that may have caused this condition. I saw a doctor on Friday and he prescribed Bactrim DS 800-160 twice a day and Hydroxyzine HCL 25 mg, every 6 hours for my conditions for infection and swelling/itching. Now, and am considering going to the emergency room. Any thought?

Brief Answer:
Can you send an image for review?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks so much for contacting us at XXXXXXX care magic.

I would like to personally review this swelling you are talking about. Seems this could be suggestive of a possible infection and as such an image to inspect will offer more insights. Also, has there been any change since starting bacteria and are you in any much pains?

To upload an image, simply click on the link to upload a file and follow the instructions. If this proves difficult, please send the image by mail to YYYY@YYYY and request that the image should be uploaded to your query.

Dr. Ditah,

My Urologist has looked at my condition of swelling, weeping/sweating penis and scrotum and he advises me to be patient. however, the pain is still there. I am concerned that I was not afforded the opportunity for more urgent medical attention for this situation.

My swelling, and weeping around the surgery site persists. I will continue with the prescribed medications and see him again in two weeks.
Thank you for your input. Prayer appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Probably there was no added value being aggressive at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the updates.

After a full evaluation by your urologist, I feel comfortable that he probably did’t find the need of additional care at this time. It is always necessary to avoid clients going around in efforts for more solutions when we fully know that there would be no additional gains.

I strongly recommend to stick to the ongoing plan and follow up with him in two weeks. If of real there is need for more urgent care, he would make that call instantly.

I wish you well.
