Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching Inside The Vagina
Question: i noticed there inside my vagina about 4 mths ago. they dont hurt when i have sex, or if i touch them, they dont sting or burn, they itch occasionally but never intense and usually only when im sweaty and have an increased discharge depending on that time of the mth. ive had two kids, one of which caused alot of internal tears. Ive noticed the area becomes more red, again if im hot and sweaty, by the next day after i have a shower its still there but not as red. it hasnt changed shape, spread anywhere else or ulcerated. i went to a sexual health clinic and they said all they could see is scaring. i went to a gp who did a complete sti screen and everything came back clear except hsv 1 which ive had orally since i was little. but hsv 2 was clear.
do you think this is anything to worry about?

Brief Answer:
Vaginal mucosal tags
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The lesions you have described are likely to be the mucosal tags due to scarring of the internal tears during delivery.
If all the sexually transmitted diseases have been ruled out and proper internal examination has been done, then there is absolutely nothing to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

my concern is genital hsv 1because i read you can get it down there. my gp however told me that because ive had hsv 1 orally since i was a kid, that its extreamly unlikely to be hsv 1 genitally. and that because its been there for 4 mths, it hasnt changed shape, gotten bigger or ulceratered, blistered or hurt...especially when i have sex it shows that it isnt herpes. is this correct?
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, yes, it is absolutely correct that it is unlikely to be HSV 1.
