Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
How long has this problem been going on?
Also, can you get a hand held mirror and have a look to see if there is a rash? Not all rashes are palpable to the touch, and it could be a fungal infection such as ring worm, which isn't palpable.
Please write back and let me know what it looks like.

Brief Answer:
Information.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for getting back to me with this information.
If it is not hot and tender, and it is not scaly, just pink and itchy, then it may be a small area of fungal infection.
Try the anti-yeast/anti-fungal medication clotrimazole. This is a cream sold under various brand names, and you can get it without prescription at a drug store. If you have a hard time finding a product that is clotrimazole, (such as Lotrimin or Mycelex), ask the pharmacist as they can help you locate one.
I recommend you use this twice a day for two weeks.
If possible, after bathing, XXXXXXX the area dry with tissue, then dry it further with a hand held dryer set on low. Then apply the cream. My reason for suggesting using tissue to XXXXXXX dry is so that you don't get fungi/yeast on your towel. (Wash your current towel in hot water.) And my reason for recommending the hair dryer is because fungi/yeast like moist environments so having the area as dry as possible is best.
If, after 2 weeks, the itchy rash is still happening, then it is time to go in to see your doctor.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
