Question: My query to Dr XXXXXXX Heijebu only as she knows my case details. Please forward my question to her.

Madam, currently I am on my third month of extra pulmonary TB treatment and on RCinex -600 + Combutol -1000 , Flovaxin -750 + lots of multivitamins. Previous month I was on PZA also which had increased my Uric acid but that has normalized now. I currently have joint pains everywhere - hands, knees, shoulders ....etc. is that normal and what should I do ? Will this be there for the rest of the treatment. Should I worry about long term damage to the joints ?

Thank you Dr

Brief Answer:
Joint pains are self limiting

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam

I can certainly understand your concern

I have worked through your query in detail

These joint pains are due to use of the drug PZA.

These symptoms are self limiting.

Long-term damage to joints is unlikely

They will subside with the cessation of treatment.
