Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain While On Percocet

Needs further investigation for ankle arthritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi There
It is possible you have ankle arthritis.
This could be caused by a variety of conditions like Gout, ligament instability, Pseudogout, Rheumatoid arthritis etc.
It is advisable to drink 2 litres of water daily. Avoid non vegetarian foot and their gravies, Spinach, cauliflower, Avocado, alcohol and smoking.
This shall prevent Gout flare ups.
Kindly get your Serum Uric acid, Rheumatoid factor, Anti-CCP, ESR and CRP blood tests done.
Do get an Xray of the affected ankle in AP and Lateral views.
Keep the limb elevated. Apply ice or heat, whichever gives relief. Wear an ankle binder or wrap crepe elastic bandage around the ankle. If there is considerable swelling, it may require aspiration with the help of a needle and testing for Urate crystals which will confirm Gout.
As of now you can take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet prilosec otc (omeprazole) twice a day for 5 days before meals. Once the reports confirm the cause of arthritis, the specific medication can be started.
Percocet does not have an anti inflammatory Medicine which is why you haven't got relief from ankle pain with it.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
