Suggest Treatment For Severe Laryngitis Along With Cough
Question: I have had severe laryngitis with a cough for about 2 months now. I use a CPAP machine. I have been to Gen. Pract Dr. and an ENT. Both of no help.
Homeopathic Dr. thought that since I am allergic to mold that perhaps my CPAP is dirty and may be reinfecting me with mold or bacterial....
Any suggestions as to how to get the laryngitis under control?

Brief Answer:
Supportive care
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and I understand your concern. Laryngitits is mostly inflammatory, infectious or allergic or secondary to acid reflux. Treatment is mostly supportive like resting of voice , warm salt water gargles , steam inhalation, use of antiinflammatories and appropriate antibiotics and treating underlying cause like respiratory tract infection or an acid reflux. Let your otolaryngologist decide what is best for you. CPAP can trigger laryngitis as well as air inhaled is not moisturized enough. Use of humidifier in the room will take care of that.
I hope it helps . Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
