Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain And Frequent Urination
I am a 33 year old female with a history of past parasitic infections. I am experiencing severe lower back pain and my urine smells has a familiar parasite smell, has a lot of visible protein and I am urinating very frequently.
Could be due to UTI. Drink plenty of water. Get urine tested.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone very carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Let me assure you that although parasitic infections occur, they do not generally involve the urine. So, although you might have observed some specific sort of odor while you possibly had some parasitic infection, it does not mean that the odor is indicative of having a parasitic infection. So, I would not really get worried about the typical odor in urine. Rather, the associated back pain as well as the other mentioned symptoms could indicate that you are having an urinary tract infection (UTI) and it would be a good idea to get a routine microscopy and culture sensitivity of your urine done. Depending on the reports suitable treatment can ensue.
The back pain could also be due to the increased weight of the uterus as the pregnancy progresses. Your gynecologist/obstetrician could better comment on this.
