not a sigm of strangulation if considered as a lone symptom

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history About your husband, 63 hanging planned hernia surgery in 2 weeks time, developed sudden severe lower back pain.
Lower back pain alone is not a symptom of obstructed hernia, one gets inability to reduce the hernia, pain and tenderness at the site of hernia, nausea, vomiting, bloating and as per the stage of disease.
But developing such a backacke too needs ER diagnosis and proper management.
Please do not give aspirin as it has antiplatelet properties dance avoided before any surgery.
