Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Leg Pain Caused By A Stress Fracture
Question: I have a severe pain (#7-9 pain) in the outside of my lower right leg from the top of the ankle extending up to below the knee. THe MRI a month ago does not show a fracture nor stress fracture. THat pain went away a few weeks ago, but is now back with vengeance.
On the same side (R), I have a pain (#3) in/near my hip, not as severe as the lower leg. Made worse by standing and walking.

Brief Answer:
Possible Neuropathy? Require MRI spine
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir.
I can certainly understand your concern.
Since the bony causes/fractures are ruled out , I advise you to get an MRI scan of the dorsolumbar spine to determine the compressive spine pathology if any.
Further management if any is largely based on test results.
Meanwhile, I prescribe oral pills of Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg and Pregabalin 75 mg to improve your symptoms.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you
