There are a few ways to approach this with over the counter painkillers. One is to make sure you are maximizing your dose of Advil. You can take 800mg up to 4 times a day for a total daily dose of 3200mg. If you are already taking that much, you should mix in Tylenol, 650mg up to 4 times a day for a total daily dose of 2600mg. Hot packs and bed rest will also help. This will pass with time!
