Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Cramping All Over The Body

Question: My husband has had ALL OVER BODY cramps for 25 years. He is 56 years old, and the cramps have been so severe, he has passed out from the pain. The most painfull ones he says are on his sides and back. He has not had alcohal for over two years, and never really drank more than 2 or 3 times a year. He drinks lots of water during the day and night. He occasionally gets the night sweats and then the cramps are at thier worse. I put him on potassium last year but it didn't help. he has a physical with labs every year and everything is fine. he is on two blood pressure meds and anit-anxiety meds for about five years. His doctor brushes the topic off, but it is very hard to watch him go through this much pain and do nothing. He leaves the room when he can so our two children don't see him tear-up. Any suggestions?

Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern and appreciate your desire to seek help for your husband.
I have seen this problem in a few of my patients. The regular tests in them also have been normal. The symptoms are real.
Some of my patients have been helped by Evion ( Vitamin E) and a tablet NatureMin which is a supplement containing all the minerals required by the body. These are perfectly harmless.
He could try these and hope he would be better.
Best wishes,

Thank You, we will try your suggestions. Is there anyway to sooth the cramp while he is having one?
Brief Answer:
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
Stretching the affected muscles often aborts the attack or shortens it. It's not always easy and requires the help of another person.
Do try what I had suggested earlier and get back to me if you have further queries.
