Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Spasms In The Arm

Question: I received an electrical shock about 10 days ago from a clothes dryer. My muscle in my right arm severely contracted and I had trouble stretching it back out. Now I can use it but would like to do something to help recover. What should I do? Or should I wait to recover more. I am getting better but my arm hurts sometimes when I try to use it and I can't grip very well yet.
I have used physical therapy before for headaches. Would that help for this? Is it too soon to start this?

Brief Answer:
Physical therapy should help. Do not delay it.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The electric shock could have sent the muscles into spasm. Hot compress would possibly help in easing the affected muscles. You need to get it evaluated by a doctor. Based on his inputs, a physical therapist can definitely help you out. The earlier you start physiotherapy, the better. I will not insist you to wait. Delay may lead to development of contractures.
