Suggest Treatment For Severe Nausea And Pressure In Arm After A Gallbladder Removal Surgery

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Feb 2016
Question: I have ms & have had my gallbladder removed many years ago but am having the same relentless symptoms I had before it was removed. This is not constant but becoming more frequent & more intense. IE; nausea, severe pain and pressure under my right rib, sternum & radiating around my back & down as far as my groin. I have had the gold standard tests for IBS & ulcers several years ago /negative for both. I am tired of taking heavy pain meds to mask this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
pancreas needs to be checked

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question
Even though your gallbladder has been removed there are still areas around the liver and pancreas that can cause similar symptoms. You need to have an MRI or CT scan of your abdomen and pancreas done to see if there are blockages there. If these do not show the cause you may need to have the upper endoscopy and colonoscopy repeated. I am sorry that you are in so much distress. I hope you find a solution and relief soon.
