Neck pain, Migraine and its complications management
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxxxx, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. You are having severe neck muscle spasm/sprain. The movement causes injured muscle movement and that leads to the "crackling soon". Also it can be due to ear due to semicircular canal movement, it can also occur.
This neck pain and ear problem treatment will give relief in this sound. For neck pain, you can follow few tips
: Use cervical collar for 7 days. It will give rest to neck muscles.
: You can apply warm compresses at pain site to relieve pain
: Use diclofenac gel after proper prescription. It will give relief in pain
: You can take painkiller Diclofenac sodium and paracetamol combination after proper prescription.
: Avoid extreme neck movement.
: Consult physiotherapist for stretching exercise
It will take care of neck pain.
For ear, you have to consult ENT specialist. Ask him whether it is "Tinnitus" or not. If it is, it is the crackling sound.
For Migraine, you can take both preventive and abortive therapy.
: Preventive therapy is to prevent any occurrence of migraine attack. You can follow few tips
- Avoid stress, mental or physical
- Take 8-9 hours sleep daily
- Avoid bright light exposure. Use sunglasses.
- Avoid food which can precipitate migraine attack like Chocolates, paneer, Coffee.
- You can take tablet Propranolol or Amitriptyline or Gabapentine or Pregabaline after proper prescription. Any of above will prevent attack.
: Abortive therapy is to relieve pain during migraine attack. You can take any of below medication after proper prescription
- Diclofenac sodium or Combination with paracetamol
- Naproxen
- Acetaminophen
- Ergotamine
- Sumatriptan
- Zolmitriptan
The triptans can affect your heart. SO it must be taken only if normal cardiac function.
Hope it will help you. If still in doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
