Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query.
I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar.
I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern. He is likely to be having cervical spondylitis as it is common in his age. It can be confirmed by x ray of cervical spine.Treatment of it is rest (cervical collar application)and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. If pain is not relieved by ibuprofen then strong analgesic such as tramadol can be tried. Omeprazole before meals prevent acidity caused by analgesics. Diacerine and glucosamine are helpful. He is also advisable to get his blood pressure checked as it can be cause of his headache. If blood pressure is high then he can take anti hypertension medicine such as amlodipine after consulting physician. You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope I have answered your query.
