Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain After Root Canal Treatment

Question: I had a root canal on Tuesday, after they gave me two presciptions one was 800 ibuprofen and the other was an amoxicillin. Wednesday the pain was pretty bad so I was taking the ibuproen every 5-6 hours for pain and I was taking the amoxicillin. I wasn't feeling good then Thursday night I had the chills all night at least 5 hours
I stopped taking both prescriptions just wondering if they could have been the cause of the chills.

Brief Answer:
Oral antibiotics are required
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir
I can certainly understand your concern.
You possibly seem to have febrile illness secondary to recent oral instrumentation.
It's very important to start oral antibiotics to control the infection.
I generally prescribe oral pills of AUGMENTIN 625 mg one pill twice a day for 7 days.Continue taking Ibuprofen for pain.
Please check with your physician, if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
Thank you
