Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Discomfort In The Buttocks

Question: 6 months ago, I presumably injured my spine when I fell playing tennis.
3 months ago, a slight discomfort in my buttock/tight area became extremely painful -- getting out of bed, putting on shoes and socks, riding in a car -- these were all extremely painful activities.

I am 99% sure I have a sciatic nerve injury or a bulging disk/degenerative disk disease.

For the past month, I have been self-treating myself with Sciatica exercises/Core Strengthening exercises. I use an icepack on my spine area after exercising. I started taking Calcium supplements. I switched to a standing desk. I use a Futuro Back Stabilizing band while sitting, and for the past week, I started Inversion Therapy (just hanging motionless for 2 minutes, 3 times per day).

My nerve-related pain symptoms have dramatically improved. Numbness in my foot has also decreased significantly. I can now perform all of my previously difficult activities relatively pain-free.

But I have a new pain. My Achilles Tendon is now regularly in pain. If I am active for too long a period, for example, standing for 3 hours at a networking event, then my Achilles Tendon and my entire left leg, are all in pain. It is more of a soreness pain then a sciatic nerve pain, but it is nevertheless very uncomfortable.

What should I know or do about this new pain?

Hi,

I have read your query.

Your new symptoms are due to prolong standing, as its most common cause of fatigue and pain in Achilles tendon.

Other cause is due to increase uric acid levels, increase blood sugar levels as in diabetic patients.

In addition to already what you are doing, you should have to take care of your leg and ankle.

For the symptoms you are saying, I would like to advise you to do muscles stretching exercise for lower leg foot and ankle try to avoid prolong standing.

If possible then get serum uric acid levels and fasting blood sugar levels then send me the report.

Have tab.aceclofenac100mg+thiocolchicoside4mg twice a day.

Instead of applying cold packs start using hot packs.

If you are following my advice and avoid prolong standing your pain will automatically go within a week.
