Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Back And Neck Area Which Radiates To The Shoulders While Lifting Objects
Question: I'm having severe pain in the back (neck) area, and when I lift anything, the pain feels like a fire burning across my back (shoulders). Years ago I was told that I had two protruding discs. Could this be related?

This is caused by the fact that the protrusion presses the nerve and cause severe pain.
Some advice that I can give to you for relief is:
-continue using heat or cold compresses as you are already
-take over the counter pain killers like ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day
-rest as much as you can
-do stretching exercises
-If the pain continues other options of treatment can be steroid injections or surgery.
