Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Ear

Question: I have a severe pain in my ear at the top and just inside. I have been given antibiotic drugs that are doing nothing. Could it be a problem with the temporomandibular joint, and if so, how is it treated?

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query
The earache can be due to ear problem or Temporomandibular joint also. If there is aggravation of pain in opening and closing the mouth, it is probably TM joint inflammation. Secondly if antibiotics are not working it can be fungal infection. Take a combination of diclofenac and serratiopeptisase twice daily. Use antifungal ear drops and avoid chewing hard things like nuts. Also take calcium supplements regularly.
It will be fine in next few days.
Takecare
