Question: severe pain in groin, several days., now some swellimg of leg. This a friend of mine

To recapitulate: Female/69 - severe pain in groin - of several days - now some swelling of leg...
The commonest cause can be lymph node enlargement at the groin causing pain and the resultant blockage of the lymphatics can give swelling of the leg.
Please give a few more information for me to understand in details:
1. Are the toes also swollen or spared ?
2. Is there a swelling in the groin that is tender, red and inflamed ?
3. Is the swelling of the whole lower limb or below the knee ?
Please post the clear and focused photographs if possible so that diagnosis becomes easy and more specific. You can simply upload/attach them at the reports section.

I thank you for your time and attention. Taking some ibufrofin relieved the pain which she then stated started in lower back around to the front. and resting lying down relieved the pain She has agreed to see her doctor.
