Brief Answer:
Ultrasound or MRI for liver or gallbladder cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Pain in front and to right could because of problem in hepatobiliary system.
2. Ultrasound of abdomen would be helpful. It can identify any liver cause or any gallbladder stones.
3. MRI maybe necessary at a later stage, if further disease details, needs identification.

X-ray won't be beneficial. Ultrasound and later MRI could be helpful.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
