Need an opinion on attached papers for Chronoic Persistent Asthma .By profession the patient is pilot and he has been put permanently down from flying duties.Need to know the detailed opinion on the ailment

I have gone through the reports you have attached.
Patient is having severe persistent asthma.
His PFT is showing moderate to severe obstruction with significant reversibility.
This is suggestive of asthma.
So he is not fit for flying job.
There is nothing we can do about this decision.
As far as treatment is concerned, there is some scope of improvement.
Newer ultra long acting inhaled bronchodilators (indacaterol and glycopyronium) are said to be more effective in increasing FEV1 and reducing symptoms.
So instead of foracort, he may start these newer ones.
Another newer treatment modality is omalizumab.
It is monoclonal antibody against IgE an it is newest treatment in asthma.
