Suggest Treatment For Severe Sore Throat

Question: 14 days ago I came down with a horrible sore throat. The pain was so great that I have eaten very little and to date have lost 34 pounds. I went to ER Weds, a week ago, but the issue with my throat was dismissed over the complaint of my right arm being a little numb. When I tried to speak to the Hospitalist, I was all but dismissed and latter sent home with no meds or relief for the sore throat. I went back to the ER, tis time given a steroid shot and now have an appointment on Monday with ENT doctor. I feel like I need to throw up and have had a few grapes and water so far today. I am very concerned about the weight loss and if I may be doing something worse to myself by waiting to see the Doc on Monday.What is the length of time to receive a response from a doctor?

You are probably suffering from acute pharyngitis.

Please send me the pictures of your throat so that I can suggest you better.

Also tell me how much weight have you lost ? Any other symptoms like loss of appetite or dryness of mouth ?

What investigations have you got done so far and what all medicines have you been taking apart from the steroid shot and Oxycodone ?

For sore throat, you should Start using hexidine gargles and take tablet vitamin C once daily.
