Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Pain
Question: My 19 yr old son is complaining of stomach pain. He's been experiencing it for two days, threw up a little today. The pain comes and goes and is more of an ache than a sharp pain.
Brief Answer:
He needs to be investigated
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on HealthcareMagic. Does he have any fever or loose stools?
The pain could be due to acute gastritis. I would also recommend a few more tests, please get serum amylase and lipase done .
You can take Tab Pantoprazole in combination with domperidone for the nausea and vomiting .
If you have fever it could just be acute gastro-enteritis and he would need to be started on antibiotics Like Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole combination.
I would also recommend an Ultrasound scan of abdomen if the symptoms don't resolve soon.
Hope this helps
Best wishes
