Brief Answer:
No bone injury seen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen all the attached images of X-rays. There is no bony injury seen in these X-rays. The swelling seems to be due to a soft tissue injury. She needs proper rest and the limb should be kept elevated on two pillows to reduce the swelling.
1. Do a cold compress on the area of injury.
2. Avoid weight bearing on the foot.
3. Keep the foot elevated on two pillows while resting.
4. Get some mild pain killers prescribed from your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.

Dear Doctor, thank you for your response. Based on the image IMG 5102, a Local Ortho Doctor here has opined she "seems to have a fracture in the ankle". I shared the pics through whatsapp to him and he is yet to see her clinically. Please advise

Brief Answer:
Hairline undisplaced lateral malleolus fracture.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
I have given a closer look to the X-ray. There is a hairline undisplaced fracture of lateral malleolus. It is best to immobilize the ankle properly with a cast for an early recovery.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.

Brief Answer:
Cast is alright.

Detailed Answer:
The cast that has been applied is sufficient to provide adequate rest for the fracture to heal. She needs to keep that cast for 6 weeks for proper healing.

Brief Answer:
The bone is alright.

Detailed Answer:
i have seen the new X-rays. The bone in the cast is well placed. There is no displacement. No need to worry. The fracture will gradually heal on its own.
