Question: I am taking tamsulosin and have for 3 yrs. plus. My erections are a pale shadow of what they were even 2 years ago ... short and very flaccid. Lately when I manage intercourse, I experience inability to ejaculate and severe testicular pain which lasts about half hour and is very annoying. What could be the problem?

Could be due tp low twestosterone levels .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have enlarged Prostate and taking Tomsulosin since last to improve urine flow and now facing problem of Erectile Dysfunction and Ejaculation ..

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Are you diabetic?
2) Have you ever done blood tests to find out serum testosterone levels ,?

As the age advances there is fall in serum Testosterone ( Hormone concerned with libido)) levels by 1% for every year , the fall in level of testosterone is one of the factors for loss of libido at this age .

Second important factor for Ed at this age is atherosclerosis of the penile artery supplying blood to erectile tissue in penis resulting in to reduced blood flow to penis causing ED.

As regards your problem of ejaculation it is due to retrograde ejaculation which is known side effect of Tomsulosin .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Serum Testosterone levels
2) Color Doppler Ultrasound scan of penis to find out vasculogenic cause for your ED.

Taking Cialis in a small doses once daily replacing Tomsulosin and Testosterone supplements will help to resolve the issue of ED and Retrograde ejaculation .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
