Suggest Treatment For Severe Throat Infection And Joints Pain

Question: I am 52 years old, 90 Kg, 5 foot 8.5 inches tall, no major illness, no sugar, no High/Low BP, with regular Pulse rate of about 100 while resting also, for the last 12 months have been suffering from Joint pain all across the body, with Puffy feeling in hand joints in the mornings, was prescribed the below named medicines for severe throat infection about 6 months back which I took for the prescribed period of 7 to 10 days, a pleasant side effect of which was that I was completely freed from the joint pains I have been suffering during the previous 6 months, now almost after 6 months i feel that the joint pains have come back, can you please advise if the pain relief during this 6 months was due to the above medicines, if yes then which particulate medicine and whether i can again take them for relieving me from the pains , The medicines were Tablet Febrex Plus, Tablet Neksium, capsule Providac, Tablet Neuromet and Tablet Predmet.

Hello,
I have studied your case.Predmet is a steroid and it causes pain relief because of strong anti inflammatory action. But it has serious side effects like weak bones, obesity and low BP. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Get your vitamin D3 and B 12 test.
2.Get your CRP, RA and ESR checkup. If there is any arthritis like rheumatoid or any other inflammatory disease then it can be picked by this.
3.Predmet can be taken in low doses for short time but it should not be taken for long time in high doses.
4.Take Brufen 400 mg one daily for pain relief.

Thanks for your response, I had ready done the above tests 6 months back and the results show deficiency in d3 and b12 but no arthritis, but I have these joint pains and tendonitis in both my ankles and had earlier suffered from tennis elbow and have been operated for carpel in my right wrist

Hello,
If you have joint pain and tests of arthritis are negative then it can be two possibilities.
1.You may be having low B12 and Low D3. These are causing weak bones and thus joint pain. So I would recommend you to take six capsule of D3 60000 unit per week for six weeks.
2.Take 10 injection of Methylcobal of one daily for ten days. This will take care of Joint pain also.
If even then joint pain persist then it is suggestive of seronegative RA. And you need to take treatment for that. Medications will be HCQ and SAAZ. Steroids like Predmet can not be taken for this.

As suggested by you I have done the tests for deficiency of D3 and B12 and for RA the reports are showing no deficiency and within range RA . Will try to attach the reports for your verification

thanks for replying.It means you are suffering from serious negative RA. in such cases you need to take these medicines.
1.Tablet HCQ 200 mg twice daily.
2.Tablet Saaz one daily.
3.Tablet Medrol one daily.
