Suggest Treatment For Severe Tremors In Arms
left arm. His dad had the same thing when he was that
age (70). He would like to try CBD hemp oil to see if it helps. Do
you think CBD hemp oil could be beneficial for tremor and if so,
is there any problem with an interaction between it and elequis?
Recent research shows benefits of CBD hemp oil
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
I have gone through your question.
Symptoms of unilateral hand tremors in your father with positive family history points to the diagnosis of parkinsons disease.
You have to mention additional features like slowness in walking and daily activities, fall, behavioural problems, memory. All this will help in making the correct diagnosis under parkinsonism umbrella.
Recent research in Brazil have found usefulness of CBD hemp oil in parkinsonism. Though it is not FDA approved therapy for parkinsonism. Also there is no interactions with elequis reported.
But I will advise you to consult a neurologist for proper examination and evaluation and treatment.
There are many drugs available for the disease with good control of symptoms.
The decision is yours.

my grandpa had it in his hands and chin and
was never diagnosed with Parkinsons. My dad
has no other symptom other than extreme fatigue
but they think that is because his heart rate is
slow and they think he may need a pacemaker.
He works every day on the farm, and doesn't
seem to be bothered by anything else.
essential tremor is a possibility too
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Essential tremors are usually bilateral though initially it starts in one upper limb. Also it involves head, voice, chin with family history. Tremors of essential tremor and Parkinson differ in rest, with resting tremors present in parkinsonism and absent in essential tremor.
If your father is not having any other problems as discussed earlier then a possibility of essential tremor is not unlikely.
You can try primidone, topiramate or clonazepam for essential tremor under guidance of his doctor instead of CBD hemp oil.
Needless to say, it will be better if you consult a neurologist who can examine him properly and make a diagnosis.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
God bless you and your family.

Better to consult a neurologist for examination
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
I think the best way to reach to a definite diagnosis is to get the patient examined by a neurologist as some subtle finding may not be apparent especially in the initial state of disease. And symptoms can be well controlled in the initial states.
Some response to sensory cues occurs in movement disorder and varies with patient. Therefore the best way forward is to get a neurological examination.

(that I know of) with Parkinsons. Is it possible that it can stay
in a mild form and not progress to severe. My grandfather had
this tremor for as long as I can remember. At least from the age
of 60 until he died in his 80's. If he had Parkinsons he never got
other symptoms that were noticeable. Is it always severely
debilitating. My dad is very active and would hate to think
he may become disabled.
More likely to be essential tremor.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
After all discussions possibility of essential tremor is more than parkinsonism. As your grandfather has only tremor for very long time, this may also point to such a disease in your father too.
But i will still advice to visit a neurologist for proper evaluation. There is no hurry and you can make an appointment whenever you get.
Hoping good health for you.
