Question: My 4 yr old has been vomiting with diarrhea for 48 hrs. She takes sips of water and then almost immediately throws it up. Should I take her to the Dr. Is there even anything they would be able to do?

Brief Answer:
Get her to the emergency/physician

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to HCM

Persistent vomiting in the presence of diarrhea may cause fluid loss from the body and thus dehydration.
The main aim in such condition is to improve the oral acceptance to prevent dehydration and complications related to dehydration.
As the oral acceptance is very poor she may not tolerate even the medication for vomiting and thus injectable antiemetic (medicine for vomiting) might be needed.
Intravenous fluids may also be needed in case of dehydration and poor oral acceptance.
I would suggest you to take her to a physician/emergency room for immediate management.
