Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-Pain lower left abdomen with Vomiting / Under Evaluation

Hi,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read your query with very limited facts. Dear if you would like to submit more information, you are welcome. I would try to reply on the available scanty information.Final opinion would need more detailed information of the history and progress of this illness in the last few weeks/ months,if any.

What could it be?
-Based on the facts submitted by you, your operated appendix does not seem to be cause for your vomiting.
-From the available data, it seems that the Colitis with acute pain in left lower abdomen could be the reason in your case.

-Other causes of such a pain? Need to be ruled out.
Like left Kidney stone or urinary tract infection

Suggestion-
I would suggest you to have consultation from your Gynaec Doctor and get the cause fixed after physical examination and needful investigations.

Welcome any further query or information in this regard.

Pain just started this afternoon about 3:00. Vomiting began about 7:00 and has occurred about every 30 minutes. I am on vacation. Should I go to an emergency room? Pain is continuing.

Brief Answer:
Consider visiting ER for medications..

Detailed Answer:
My Impression-
Food Induced Acute Gastritis with Colitis

Is it related to food in Lunch today?
What food items you ate in the lunch today?
Did you take spicy/ fried -Dinner food in the hotel yesterday ?
Any history of alcohol/smoking excess at that time?
Are on any medicines currently for any other ailments of yours?
If you can update more on the above lead queries,I would be in a better position to reply on your query.

With the available information, there is possibility of acute gastritis with colitis secondary to hotel / or outside food. You may try cold Milk sips, if it is possible. Consider visiting ER for medications. I suggest the use of proton pump inhibitor and antispasmodic along with antibiotic if deemed necessary.

Hope this reply helps to come out of this urgency.

Yes, had sme spicy food at lunch but no alcohol. No diarrhea. Meds I regularly take were sent earlier. Have never had this steady pain before and it doesn't seem to be lessening. Vomiting not as bad now. Thanks for your help.

Brief Answer:
Food Induced Acute Gastritis with Colitis

Detailed Answer:
From your updated submissions, spicy food in the lunch aggravated the vomiting in your case. Further many of the medicines like-Metformin / Symbicort can cause this flared up Gastritis with persistent stomach pain and acute vomiting. If your symptoms persist, check up with your Physician to review on the options for such medicines.

As submitted in last updates, your Vomiting seems to be reduced and you may consider taking medicines from the ER, if you need.

Hope this reply resolves your query and health concern.
