Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain During Intercourse
No pain at all during sex - very enjoyable.... but sharp pain for only a fraction of a second,
but immediately preceding the orgasm.
Dysorgasmia and menopause association
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Many women seem to be experiencing what is called dysorgasmia (painful orgasms or pain just before or during orgasms). On further research conducted on dysorgasmia it was found to be most common in women between the age groups 35-55 years or age and some even above.
The cause for dysorgasmia was found to be a hormonal change associated with soon approaching or already attained menopause. I would not say this is something serious, but if at all it seems to be causing your trouble or discomfort then you can speak to your doctor about helping you to cope with menopause and your doctor may choose to prescribe you with some hormonal supplements.
I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
