Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In Leg

Posted on Fri, 21 Nov 2014
Question: I have had a sharp pain in my left leg from my bottom to my knee since July when I first get up in morning. I have used a cane until I can keep good balance after I eat a bite and take a muscle relaxer and aleve, it will ease and I keep active. I am not a couch potato or tv watcher. Been very active all my life. There have been times I would have to take aleve in the midle of the day but every day. I had 3 xrays taken in early august, chroaprator said very little degenerationa nd arthrtis for my age. All docotrs and chrioprators have said it would go away on its own. I have used hot and cold compresses all kinds of stretchs, messages and I think it is about time to stop the pain. Not a all day pain when I can take relaxer and aleve. I have had blood work done and urine, notthing shows up there either.

Brief Answer:
Sacroilitis or pinched nerve may be the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.Baesd on the symptoms; it is either sacroilitis or pinched nerve. This needs physical examination and MRI of lumbosacral spine to confirm it.
To help you better please tell me-
1. Is there any numbness, tingling sensation in left leg?
2. Are you able to sit in cross leg and what makes the pain worse?
3. Is the pain radiating from lower back to knee?
Please revert back with the answers to above asked questions.
Wishing you good health.
