Brief Answer:
Omeprazole
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Pain in the upper part of abdomen most often is due to peptic ulcer/gastritis or pancreatitis.
You can take OTC omeprazole which will provide relief if it is due to ulcer/gastritis.
If pain is persistent in spite of taking omeprazole and is severe and disturbing your routine, you are left with no other option but to report to ER.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
