Suggest Treatment For Shingles Like Blisters On The Body

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: I think I may have the start of shingles on my back but am not sure. Trying to decide whether to see a physician or not. The pain isn't as bad as I thought it would be and putting Lysterine on it several times daily seems to help. The 2-3 blisters are under my bra so going without it makes all the difference in my ability to tolerate the discomfort. I'd rather wait a few days and see if it gets better but don't want to wait to see it get worse so trying to decide.

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr. kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
I suggest you to avoid putting listerine as it might cause irritation.
You may rather use a soothing lotion e.g calamine lotion or a topical antibacterial ointment e.g mupirocin ointment or neosporin ointment.

I request you to kindly upload a few Images so that I am able to guide you better. You may upload Images either in "Reports Section" Or you may mail me the Images at the following address - YYYY@YYYY with the subject line of the mail as Attention:Dr.Kakkar.

Regards
