Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath Along With Stress
Question: I WAS UNDERGONE DEPLOYMENT OF STENT ON 07/05/2014. I AM WORKING AS DY MANAGER IN PUBLIC SECTOR BANK WHICH IS VERY BUSY. INITIALLY DOCTOR ADVISED ME CLOPIDOGREL 150 ,METOPROLOL 50MG AND NICORANDIL 5MG . AFTER 3 MONTHS HE CUT THE DOSE TO 50% AND STOPPED NIKORANDIL .NOW IAM FACING TENSION AND SHORT BREATH XXXXXXX .ADDED TO THAT I AM SUFFERING WITH ANXIETY FOR THE LAST 25 YRS AND USING ALPROZOLAM 0.25MG FREQUENTLY. FEELING HEAVY STRESS. ECG REPORTS ABNORMAL AND 2D ECHO REPORTS SHOWS NIL. ADVISE ME IN THIS MATTER

1. Try to lose weight if over weight
2. Exercise daily, especially cardivascular exercises like walking and cycling. Please confirm with your doctor regarding your exercise capacity
3. To reduce stress I recommend that you engage in yoga or meditation.
4. Approach a psychiatrist for anti anxiety measures. Increase Alprazolam to 0.5 can help too
5. Avoid smoking and alcohol completely
6. Always sleep well and atleast for 6 hours. Reduced sleep and sleep deficit increases anxiety.
