Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath And High Heart Rate

Question: Hello-
About two hours ago I was feeding my horses in very cold weather. Moved two fifty pound bales. My heart rate definitely went up. Don't remember much shortness of breath or chest pain. There was some soreness in the breasts actually afterward but nothing deep. It's been two hours and my breathing seems unusually clear. No shortness of breath and no pain really. I can feel my heartbeat but it is not fast or irregular. But I am worried that I hurt my heart. Am I being paranoid or should I go to ER?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Only if pain become more intense go to ER...
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
What you are describing most probably is related to muscle and soft tissue damage from extreme cold and heavy lifting.
As such if the pain remain the same you should be relaxed and use hot bags and pain killer and OTC pain medications.
If the pain is becoming more intense or more frequent you should go to the ER to exclude any life threatening condition.
Hope you will find this helpful!
Wish you health!

sometimes when I move I get pain in the upper area but it goes away quickly.

Brief Answer:
Your pain is typical for musculoskeletal problems.
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
As i mentioned earlier your pain is typical for musculoskeletal problems. Musculoskeletal pain is sharp, last for hours (even days) and is dependent on muscle movement.
You can relief muscle pain with hot bags and O.T.C (advil, tylenol as i mentioned earlier). I strongly suggest avoiding working in cold temperatures or in other extreme weather conditions).
Wish you health!
