Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain And Periarthritis

Question: The problem which im facing is my shoulder pain , im suffering from this problem since last 10 months . At times the pain subsides and after couple of days it aggravates. About a month back consulted a orthopedician and he told that the problem is known as "Periarthritis". He told me to do some excercise . But i was not doing it regularly due to heavy pain . Could you please suggest a solution for this .

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.You are having periarthritis shoulder. It is also called frozen shoulder. Treatment of it is mobilisation, excercises of shoulder and analgesic such as ibuprofen. As you are having severe pain so can take strong analgesic such as tramadol for pain relief. You can also spray local analgesic spray such as volini spray 15 minutes before exercises to prevent pain during exercises.

Another method of its treatment is manipulation under anaesthesia to mobilisation. Then excercises can be continued along with analgesics. You can discuss with your doctor about it.
