Brief Answer:
Oral muscle relaxants can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The painful shoulder can be tackled with hot fomentation along with application of local topical analgesic gels or sprays for symptomatic relief. Also, avoid lifting heavy weights or standing on your hands for a while as it will put undue pressure on your shoulder causing further damage. I suggest you to consult a doctor nearby for thorough examination.Your doctor may prescribe pain medications, muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory drugs — aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) — to decrease inflammation and encourage muscle relaxation.
Local steroid injections will help in case the oral muscle relaxants do not help.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
