Question: Hi Doctor,

I have stomach infection and normally I used to take Ciplox-TZ but off late, it started have lot of side effects on me. I tried Rifagut last time and it helped.

Can I continue using these tablets?

Can you elaborate on your stomach infection?
Ciplox TZ is a very strong antibiotic and should not had been used unless recommended. i think you should be aware that antibiotics are not for over the counter use. If you do so you will aquire resistance and will not be able to use the drug again. This is what had happened to you. You will also spread this resistance to the local community.
Similarly Rifagut is also a low potent antibiotic. It has far been helpful for people with Irritable bowel syndrome.
I think you should better get evaluated the problem that you have with a Gastroenterologist. Stress, poor lifestyle, non home food all contribute to your problems. Address the root cause of the problem than curing the symptoms.
