Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Ciprofloxacin

Not likely to move to other joints, but seems to be due to ciprofloxacin!
Detailed Answer:
Welcome and thanks for the consult. I appreciate your concerns. I have reviewed your query about side effects of taking Ciprofloxacin. It is from a class of drug that is notorious for its side effects on muscles, joints, nerves and tendons.
You have got the same side effects and unfortunately they mostly prove to be disabling tendon, muscles, joint and bone issues that remain potentially permanent. Typically as in your case the side effects start appearing within hours to weeks after taking the drug.
You need to go for conservative management of pain and swelling control if any. Apply heat and ice repeatedly and alternatively. The activities that exacerbate it, avoid them. It is less likely to migrate to other joints. Better is to consult an Orthopedist to see if there is any "tendon rupture" that's one of the complications of this drug.
Never use this drug again (or any of the class of drugs called Fluoroquinolones). Hope it helps.
