Question: I need to know about medice dariten 7.5mg for overreactive bladder problem facing problem of dryness of mouth and constipation how to avoid. XXXX

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been taking Darifenacin once daily for Overactive Bladder Syndrome .

Darifenacin belongs to anti muscarinic group of drugs and is known to have side effects like dryness of the mouth and constipation

Ensure to drink more water and stool softener to combat constipation .

This means that this is a life long medication. Stool softner also now works practically 20%. Dryness with water does not help but a chicklet the helps. Is there any permanent solution.

These side effects are bound to be there as long as you are taking Darifenacin ,

Constipation can be managed by change in diet like talking leafy vegetables and more fibers ,spouted foods and fruits.

Over a period of time, some patients develop tolerance to the side effects. You can discontinue Darifenacin after 3-4 months and observe for improvement in symptoms of Over Active Bladder.
